| The 4th One - British Car Fools Bash and Just a General Good Time - 2009
The weather was great, the food was excellent, including the desserts and what a turn out. The British Car Fools Bash was up in attendance about 20% over last year. The weather I sure was a good part of the increase in attendance. The Bash was attended by the following clubs -
- Appalachian British Car Society of Kingsport, TN., the host club this year and what an excellent job they did. We thank you very much for all the work, the food and the friendship. The Appalachian British Car Society's web site is www.britcars.net. Paul Kern is President of the club, kern757@aol.com
- The newest club in the neighborhood is the Plateau British Car Club located in Crossville, Tennessee. Their web site is www.pbcctn.org. Contact email is events@pbcctn.org. This is a growing club. There are no officers at this time. We thank you for making the trip and being part of the British Car April Fools Bash.
- East Tennessee MG Drivers Club of Morristown TN. Web site for this club is www.etmgdc.org. George Greene is President of the club, gag327@yahoo.com
English Auto Society of Knoxville, TN. Web site for this club is www.englishautosociety.com. Morgan Everett is President. John and Barbara Rigby take care of the newsletter, jandbrigby@bellsouth.net
Southern British Car Club of Chattanooga, TN. Web site is www.southernbritishcarclub.org. Contact for the club is SBCC@wildblue.net. Paul Batovsky is Club President.
Smoky Mountain Chapter of the Austin Healey Club of America. Web site is www.smokymthealeys.org. Denise Denton, is Club President. Email is denise@wsdassociates.com
Blount British Cars, Ltd. of Maryville, TN. Blount British Cars web site is www.blountbritishcars.org. Contact email is blountbritishcars@comcast.net. Melinda Watson is Club President.
Be sure to check out each of the club's web sites. They have a lot of drives and other events going on that maybe your club or individuals in your club would like to be a part of.
Next year's April Fools British Car Bash will be hosted by the Southern British Car Club of Chattanooga, TN. They will be looking at locations that will be centrally located so that all the area clubs can attend without driving too long. The goal is to keep it a day event. As soon as that location is determined emails will be going out. Therefore, please note what events you would like to share (make up advertising flyers) with the other clubs and figure out what covered dish you would like to bring and mark your calendar for the first Saturday closest to April Fools Day
Again, I would like to thank the Appalachian British Car Society of Kingsport, TN for hosting the event. An excellent job.

Thanks,
Jim Watson,

| I just wanted to thank everyone that attended the Madisonville drive Saturday, 21st February - a total of 15 members and one Guest (Kathy).
We all had a great time at the Patio Restaurant - of course good food and good company it was a no brainer.
Here are some photos that I took - unfortunately it didn't end too well for us - the TR250 took a turn for the worse less than 5 miles from home. Thanks to Moneymaker Towing the car made it home safely. Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess..... Janice Vooght

| For those of you that missed the Saturday joint car drive with the Morristown MG Drivers Club to the Seqouyah Museum, you missed a great little drive. We met the MG Drivers Club at the Church around 10:45 and had a few minutes of meet, greet and stretch time before we hit the road to the museum.)
There are 3 members of Morristown's MG Drivers Club and 4 members of Blount British Cars, so you could say we had a total of 7 representing the clubs, in route to the Sequoyah Museum. Then at the Sequoyah Museum, Susie from Blount British Cars met us there and got us all good tickets for the Museum and we had a very interesting tour of the Museum and the Director of the Museum gave us a talk on the Sequoyah and Cheokee alphabet.
After we finished at the Museum we caught up with Arnie at the Country Club Bar and Grill located in their subdivison where we enjoyed lunch and as always excellent conversation.
Weather was not the best, the clouds came and went, some made the trip with their top down, while others did it with out their heater. In short, it was a very nice way to spend Valentine's Day with one's Sweetheart.
